Digitise the culvert inspection process for MPAMOT and allow the use of a modern data collection tool in remote locations with no internet connectivity.
The solution
The MPAMOT engineering team needed a faster and more efficient way to carry out culvert inspections in remote locations. For the most part, these locations have no internet connectivity and the solution had to be able to work in offline mode and transfer data once the team was back in an area with connectivity.
mCollect was implemented and the inspection forms were digitised and built into the mCollect platform, allowing the engineers to use familiar inspection form questions and capture the necessary data even without having an internet connection.
The results
Faster and more accurate data collection meant less time spent on the road and no more re-visits to sites. The ability to collect data even while offline is a game changer for the engineering teams and has increased the ability of the team to manage these assets in a smart and efficient way.
